Red Goldfish

Goldfish are the most common species in the fish keeping world. They are an incredibly hardy fish and can survive in most conditions.

Sarasa Comets

Comet goldfish are basicly the same as common goldfish except they tend to be more slender and their tails are longer "shaped like a scissor" you can get them in a variety of colours, orange, white, Red, or a mixture

Golden Orfe

Orfe are sociable fish and should always be kept in groups of at least three. Orfe are fast swimmers and need a lot of oxygen. Spending most of the time near the surface of the pond. Orfe will jump out of very small ponds because they like lots of room.

Shubunkins

These fish come in a multitude of different colours, often predominantly metallic grey, blue or red. Their scales are transparent which makes it seem as if they have no scales.

Grass Carp

Grass carp have been sold for many years to the pond keeper as an effective means of controlling blanket weed. The reality is that it is much easier for the grass carp to consume fish food than chew their way through the fibrous mats of algae. So, after introduction to the algae choked pond, they quickly change habit and eat the fish food and the blanket weed remains.

Green Tench

Tench are more valuable in a pond for the work they do than for their ornamental appeal. Performing the role of the catfish, the tench has a slightly downturned mouth which is equipped with a small pair of sensory barbels for detecting food in the murky depths.

Golden Tench

Ghost Koi

Ghost carp or Ghost Koi are a cross between a King Carp and a metallic 'Ogon Koi'. This is not a hybridisation between Species but between Carp Varieties of the same species.

Golden Rudd

Rudd will only grow to about 12cm and are suitable for most garden ponds.

Swan Mussels

All the mussels rest on the bottom drawing water into the body through one of the siphons. Using the gills, oxygen is removed and they also filter finely suspended particles out of the water for food.

Ramshorn Snails

Ramshorn snails generally will eat only the most delicate plants, preferring algae, uneaten fish food, and dead fish. Some varieties do particularly enjoy eating the leaves of stem plants such as cabomba and anacharis.
